Handpainted da Polonia Glass Ornaments

Mia crafts the glass ornaments of da Polonia in her studio in Krakow, Poland.

The images shown above are just one style of ornament among many. There are hundreds of glass ornaments at da Polonia. The artist Mia creates balls/round glass ornaments, molded/figural ornaments, and free blown or free form glass ornaments. Designed and crafted with the utmost attention to quality, the ornaments have been hailed repeatedly as miniature works of art.

The flower ornaments shown here are part of a collection of 31 round ornaments with flower themes, including ornaments painted to imitate Degas, Monet, and Van Gogh paintings. There is also a flower ornament replicating the famous Tiffany Water Lilies. Can you imagine an entire Christmas tree decorated with these flower ornaments?

On dapolonia.com, many accolades are listed that the ornaments have received for their originality, beauty and quality. For example, Mia has received many honors, including an invitation from Pope John Paul II to decorate his tree at the Apostolic Palace at the Vatican in Rome, a 2 month solo exhibit at the Museum of Gdansk, and a documentary about Mia and her studio shot by the Krakow Television and aired worldwide on the Polonia network. During the holiday season, the da Polonia ornaments have been featured by the local NY TV and have appeared on the Today Show, The Fox Nightly News, and CBS among others.
