Can you explain why it is good to have the box be acid free? What will happen to my blown glass ornaments if they are stored in normal cardboard boxes?

Wood based papers and cardboard are not good choices for storing your fine ornaments. The ink and the carboard are made from chemicals that can damage the paint on the ornament decoration.
